Getting there
:

Budapest lies in Central Europe, with good access by air, train or by car.

Budapest Liszt Ferenc International airport (BUD) is located 24 kilometres from the city centre.To get downtown to Budapest from the airport to the hotels you can choose between limousine service, taxi cabs and shuttle busses, and none will not take you any longer than 30-40 minutes.

Travel

By Plane Budapest has direct flight connection with every European capital as well as other major cities and hubs in Europe and world-wide. The major Airlines are represented in Budapest with nearly 50 airlines offering direct flights from over 70 international destinations. In addition to the major international carriers, several low cost airlines serve Budapest and the large European cities. (Wizzair, Germanwings, EasyJet, Air-Berlin, Snowflake, Jet2.com, Sterling, Norwegian Air, Ryanair, Smartwing, etc)
By Train Budapest is connected to the European railway system. There are direct railway links between Budapest and 13 capital cities of Europe and 47 international scheduled trains arrive daily into Budapest. Many international trains have dining and sleeping cars or couchettes. Most international express trains arrive and depart from the Eastern (Keleti) Railway Station.
By Coach Volánbusz Rt., a member of Eurolines, operates scheduled services to 15 countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine.

From the airport
Taxi – the official taxi company at the airport is Főtaxi who provide a fixed rate service to the city depending on the destination. Prices vary from 3,800 – 6,500 HUF. The tariff from the airport to the Corinthia Hotel which is located in the Zone #2, is HUF 5,900. Payment can also be made in € euro and by credit card. Főtaxi is located at the airport exit in both Terminals 2A and 2B with a dedicated booth which is clearly visible when you walk outside from the terminal. We suggest you do not use other taxi companies or accept offers of rides from people who approach you inside the airport. .

Airport Minibus – Airport Minibus service can be reserved at the Airport Minibus desk. Price: 3,200 HUF (one way), 5,550 HUF (return ticket). See: www.airportshuttle.hu/en/

Parking
If you drive a personal or rented car, always try to park at a secure parking lot and do not leave any valuables in the car. Please note, that Budapest is divided into paying areas, with one parking meter in each street. The maximum parking time duration is 2 hours, tariffs may vary. The conference hotel, the Corinthia Hotel Budapest, also provides parking in a secure garage. Daily rates are approx. HUF 5,200 / €18.00.

Public Transportation:
Budapest has a well functioning public system. The trams, underground, suburban railway and bus services operate on a standard tariff - for a single journey in a given direction within city limits the price is HUF 320-- if purchased from a ticket vending machine. One can purchase tickets in advance in tourist information offices, many travel agencies, hotels, and museums or in one of the official ticket offices. Tickets have to be validated before or when entering one of the public transportation systems. The busses, trolleys, trams and the underground run generally from 04:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
